Albert Einstein became one of the best physicists of the world….Sachin tendulkar is one of the best batsmen india ever had…and TG is one of best quant’s masters i have ever come across:)….!! well ,we all know these facts….but do we ask why? ?…whats the reason behind their success?…what does it take to be someone like these?..one of the answers that i get(or observe myself) is that they have/had PASSION for what they do/did…!!But this simple answer is what gets my mind stormed up sometimes because when i think about how someone gets passionate about something or what am i passionate about, i get a bit baffled…. it’s not that i m a person with little self awareness who gets naturally frustrated abt his ignorance abt himself….the question that i seek answer for is: can’t we become consciously passionate about something??…when i was in 10th ..i didnt know abc of engineering but i was given knowledge(by teachers, frnds, relatives) about it and a very positive picture of this field was created to me..so i joined a coaching institute and started preparing and i even began to find interest in it too(i wont say i got extremely passionate abt it coz if that were the case i would be in MIT:)) )…most of us would have similar experiences..well whats the deal then?..it’s that i have begun to believe that what we feel passionate about is actually the result of our present, past circumstances and experiences…depending upon these experiences ,our mind inclines us to some certain interests and fields that what we call our passions..well but my point is not to present any boring pyshological theory here but to emphasize on this observation of mine :Probably, the first step to live a succesful life is not to start following ur inclinations(not calling it “passion” as i prefer to use this word positively) blindly but to first make a good inclination or a ”passion” for urself.…!!I think we have this ability!!passions are not somethings we are born with…my point is that if i feel that doing an MBA from a good institution(with those selected brains from different places) will not only enhance my career prospects but also will enrich my personality and my life also…if i can see these purposes …if i can have this vision…cant i make an MBA my passion even if i can’t say that famous dialogue:” i was always passionate about business and MBA”…i was not because i didnt know but now i know that it’s good for me and doing it will deifinitely cause my growth to become a good human being…so what if right now i donot knw much about business world ?..given all this motivation, i can try to know about it now..i can try to take interest in business ..i can try to make it a passion for me!!!Getting interested in something u know u should do may be hard but cant be impossible!!!!!
(this post is the result of those doubts that sometimes pop up in my mind when i hear that “he had passion for it so he could do it”…cant one be passionate about robbery(think dhoom:)))??.so,i guess the trick is to bend ur choices and interests a bit to a direction that u genuinely think u should be moving irrespective of how difficult u find it!)
