How to use the Power of Google Search effectively

In today’s fast moving life, who has the time to write a piece of code which is already written by someone? We find our codes from various sites, and then we combine them and use it to our benefit. Whether we need piece of codes, or articles, or news, or books, or music, or anything? WE GOOGLE IT !

Finding stuffs, that you require, through Google Search is not a difficult task only thing you should know is how to search or googling it effectively. Here’s something which I do efficiently on a daily basis.
How to Search using Quotation mark:

“Blow, winds, and crack your cheeks”

When you want to search something specific and you know what is it or what it should be then go for quotations. It will look for the exact result which you are looking for. Searching without quotations will split the words soon and will start searching everywhere on the web. But the quotations around your phrase or words, will keep your search query intact.

How to Search using Math (No BODMAS rule, No CAT funda )

Aal Izz Well +aamir
Aal Izz Well +aamir +khan
Aal Izz Well +”aamir khan”
Aal Izz Well +Aamir khan

Using Simple Math like the plus(+) sign and the minus(-) sign, you can include the keyword(s) or exclude the keyword(s). You can also use multiplication, thats an asterik (*)

* World’s most aggressive batsmen

How to Search using logical operator: AND, OR:

Tiger Woods AND Lance Armstrong
Mr.Tiger Woods OR Mrs.Tiger Woods

The AND search will return the pages which includes both the names. The OR search will return the pages with either one of the name on the page.

If you want to know about a particular website then use the info: keyword and hit it (make sure you do not leave any space in between). We all know what Totalgadha is! So, the Info term displays what the site contains.

Note: Though, It might not display results for all websites.

How to Search inside a website:

site:totalgadha.com style post

This is a handy feature. If you know where to look for then you can use the site and google it.

How to Search using intitle:index.of?

intitle:index.of? mp3 shaan

This search term will show the mp3’s by singer Shaan. Likewise, you can search by artist name or song or album, and try your luck. Apart from mp3’s you can search for pdf files, zip files, rar files anything which you may like.

You can mix and match the above search terms and use in a single search also.
