Recently, our neghbours lost a case for their house and they were being evicted from the house with their belongings taken out of the house and kept on the road. A big crowd gathered. We also watched from our balcony. Everyone got depressed at the way they were being pushed out of their house. So did my wife. The gloom hung in the house like the stench of burnt milk. There were women also fighting in the process. No wonder Dagny had had enough by the afternoon and she started her song-
Dagny- “Let’s go out. Watch a movie at select citywalk?”
Me- “umhmm..can we go someplace nearer so that we can come back soon and work?”
I had a lot of work that day and I saw no reason why I should quit my work if someone was getting thrown out of his house.
So anyhow, by the evening Dagny got irritated with me and left for Greater Kailash- 1, M- block market which is walking distance from our home. After some time I felt a little guilty and called her up that I was coming to meet her there. She was glad. Little did I know God will punish me for my sin.
We met in the market and we walked in the Levis Store together. The blow started falling on my credit card one by one-
Levis Store- total fatka- Rs 19k
Benetton- total fatka- Rs 9k
Some other stores- nearly 1k
Dagny’s depression evaporated after this sport called shopping. Mine just started. And I was thinking all the time- “Why O why didn’t I go and watch a movie when I had the time.” 
Curse the neighbours.
Moral of the Story- If you have a girlfriend or a wife, always be ready to take her out to movies or dinner. That prevents her from going near to a jewellery or a clothes shop.

OMG… I have deferred n denied so many movies n dinners… n a sole excuse “m busy wid my CAT…” … n a sole promise that let me excused “surely will go out on 5th n 6th, we’ll have loads of movies n coffees…”
