SNAP stands for Symbiosis National Aptitude
Test. It is the common entrance test conducted by the Symbiosis International (Deemed)
University, under the purview of the SNAP Test Secretariat, for post-graduate programs
across its colleges in the country. One of the main motives behind conducting the SNAP
test is to provide the convenience of a common entrance test to the students wishing to
be a part of the Symbiosis family.

SNAP Selection Process:
The SNAP test is the first step for admission to any of the Symbiosis family
colleges. After the test, by the second week of January next year, the SNAP test
secretariat declares exam scores and puts up a list of candidates who are eligible for
the next stage of selection. The scores are declared as absolute marks out of total
marks for the overall as well as for each section. Different institutes of Symbiosis
then shortlist candidates for further rounds on different criteria. Some colleges, such
as SIBM, SIIB, etc., follow a cut-off based selection system where they consider
overall cut-off and/or sectional cut offs to shortlist students. Others such as SCMHRD,
along with SNAP score also consider overall profile of the candidates for short
listing.
