  Different Programs at IIMs
PGP= Post Graduate Program (MBA equivalent). Fill it for all IIMs
PGPM- Post graduate program in management, same as PGP. Fill it for all IIMs
PGDM- post graduate diploma in management (same as PGP). Fill it for all IIMs

So tick if you find any of these at an IIM (note that at any IIM, there would be just one of these three as these are three different names for the same course).
Apart from these, all other programs are niche specializations are should be avoided unless the person knows that this is exactly what he wants.

Other Programs
FPM- Fellowship program in management- for those who wish to pursue masters and doctorate in management, usually because they intend to work as lecturer after their education at a management college. Fill it if you wish to pursue doctorate.
PGPHRM- Post graduate program in human resource management, could be one of the last options, so fill it for now.
ABM- Agro business management, for those who wish to apply the learnt knowledge acquired during this program in villages or in rural sector in some way
PGSEM- Post Graduate Program in Software Enterprise Management
PGPPM- Post Graduate Program in Public Policy and Management.
PGPEX Post Graduate Program for Executives (one year)- consider this when you are certain that you cannot make it to the 2 year program. Be clear that this program is nowhere close to the regular two year program in terms of package or peers. Anyway, The executive programs came into existence to facilitate management education to working people and dearth of people fit to take up managerial roles. With so many good MBA colleges and so many passouts from these colleges, these executive programs’s credibility and placement have taken a beating. So avoid executive programs. you require, for most of such courses, a minimum of 5 years of work experience.
EPGP- Executive Post Graduate Program in Management (same as PGPEX)
EFPM- Executive Fellow Program in Management (combination of fellowship program and executive program)- a doctoral program for those with 10 years of work ex.
PGPWE- Post Graduate Program in Management for Working Executive- same as PGPEX
PGPBM- Post Graduate Program in Business Management . One of the last options

Do all the IIMs provide all the aforementioned courses, or some are providing something and others are providing the others?

Will you please suggest a good strategy to attempt the new pattern of CAT.

All the IIMs do not provide all the above courses, but any IIM would provides a flagship 2 year degree by any one of the three names (PGDM, PGP and PGPM). So all you need to do is fill this course for each IIM. Apart from that you may choose to opt for HR or any other specialisation course that you are eligible for and would like to pursue in case you get selected. Avoid filling courses needlessly.

Hello sir, Sir i have a query regarding two colleges in the cat form namely IIM INDORE PGP MUMBAI and RGIIM SHILLONG PGP. Do we have to apply for these colleges also?

Yes, fill both these courses. The former is a ranch of IIM Indore that it has opened in Mumbai and the latter is the flagship programme of IIM Shillong.

Sir if i am applying for full time MBA, am i automatically applying for MBA in HR?? the number of seats are separately given, thus, i m confused. Sir we hav to write d last sem's % or aggregate of 2 yrs?? In CAT form

Yes, in case of IIMs, most colleges offer students to choose their specialisation (HR, Marketing, Finance )in the second year. The first year is general and common to all. hence when you apply to PGDM course, you apply for general MBA where 1st year would be common and you would get to choose your specialisation in the 2nd year.

While filling graduation percentage in CAT form, take into account the results of all the semesters/years declared till date, and not just the previous semester/year. Do not leave any subjects, even if you have decided to drop those subjects as the ones you would leave if your university provides the option of leaving out some subjects.

Sir, I took my 10th boards under ICSE board. We had 7 Subjects. And almost everywhere I applied for graduation, I was asked to submit the aggregate of best 5 subjects. What is expected of me in CAT, XAT and other similar applications?

Different exams have different take on this. For CAT, take into account the marks of all the seven subjects on the mark sheet. For other exams, like XAT, NMAT, read their prospectous religiously to find out their convention. In case you do not find any information, call/mail them at the email id/numbers mentioned on their site.
