  non zero - when 2 digits selected = 216
4 times same = 9
zero included = 54
total = 279 ?

  for zero included it will be 27 and not 54
hence total numbers = 252 ?

I tried with- (total 4 digit no - No where all digits are distinct)= number where digits repeated at least once.

It is possible that I did not understand the question sad

Question says that "each of the digit used is written more than once", while you have ensured that for at least 1 digit only. See the difference. smile
