  It is very easy to remember the ID number of my ATM card which is a nine digit number and every digit is distinct. If i tell you some clues then you will be able to find it.Consider my numer as PQRSTUVWX corresponing to 1 to 9 digits though not repository .The Id is divisible by 9. if you delete the digit at its units place, the remaining 8 digit number of my ID is divisible by 8. If you again delete the last digit of the 8 digit number the remaining 7 digit number is divisible by 7 and the process goes on.

1) What is the sum of the digits of the ID number of my ATM card?
a) 55 b) 45 c) 90 d) Cannot be determined

2) Find the first five digits from the Following.

3) Find the last five digits from the following.

4) Find the nine digit id of card.

5) Which number does letter R represents.

pls solve this..

  Hi nikhil,
The ans to first question is 45. As the sum of 9 digit no cannot be 90 and 55 is not divisible by 9.

1) 45 (so obvious! cant be 55 which is not divisible by 9; and cant be 90 coz sum cant exceed 45)

2) 38165

3) 54729

4) 381654729

5) R = 1

PS - using the divisibility rules for all numbers from 2 to 7 and solve it. Its longer than you expect it to be.

  I think the number cannot contain repeated digits. The number is exactly 381654729 though I didn't check whether there might be more numbers that satisfy all the conditions.

The clues I found are:
1. Middle digit must be 5.
2. Digits necessarily alternate odd/even
3. Number represented by 3rd and 4th digit from the left is multiple of 4 (8 options: 12, 16, 32, 36, 72, 76, 92, 96)
4. Number represented by 2nd, 3rd and 4th digits from the right is multiple of 8 (13 options: 216, 296, 312, 416, 432, 472, 496, 632, 672, 816, 832, 872, 896)

Proceeding by trial and error, I found that 381654729 satisfies all the conditions. I had to use Excel to shorten time.
