  Each of the two numbers 10417 and 9637 when divided by a two digit number leave the same remainder.
How many such divisors are possible?

  10417 - 9637 = 780

Now you have to find the number of two digit factors of 780, which is 12 smile

logic he logic hai bhai smile
lets say, the two digit number,which gets the same remainder(R) with both the numbers is A
now, 10417= Ak + R

9637= Al + R

subtracting Ak + R - (Al + R) = A(k-l)

means the number( A(k-l) ) which we get on subtracting the two numbers would surely be divisible by the same number(A) smile
