Hi guys,

can any one solve the below venn diagram maximisation concept.

a survey of 300 respondents showed that 135 of them read buissness india,125 read buisness today ,115 read buissness world.further,42 of the respondents read buisness india and buisness today,48 read buisness today and world and 30 of the respondents read all the three magazines.

question is :::if 15 respondents who were reading buisness india stop reading buisness india and instead start reading buisness today,then what is the max number of respondents who will now be reading only buisness india???

I don't see any trickery in the language of the set. One thing is that you have missed the number of respondents reading both BI and BW.

Still if that is not available, then also out of 135 respondents reading BI, 42 are already reading BT. So other than these i.e. from 135 - 42 = 93 respondents, now 15 have started reading BT in place of BI. So number of respondents who read BI and not BT is = 93 - 15 = 78.

Now this can be the maximum number of respondents who will be reading only BI now.
