verbal doubt
by Sher Khan - Sunday, 24 October 2010, 07:46 PM
  hi TG sir,
please help me on this doubt.

which of the following statements can logically be concluded(L) from the main statement. and which are irrelevant(I), which are FAR-FETCHED(F), which contradicts(C) the main statement.

main statement - every adult lion is larger than even the largest adult lioness. in a pride any adult male will cow down any adult female.

A) size is the primary determinant of relations of dominance among these cats.
B) some adult males of this species dominate some smaller females.
C) if a female of this species dominates an adult male, that female is not an adult.
D) if a female of this species dominates a male, the dominated male is not an adult.

can u please tell me "PRIDE" here represents a group lions or cats(which includes leopards, tiger etc.)

please explain.

you have got it correctly.
A group of lions is called "a pride".
