Triplets Adam, Bruce, and Charlie enter a triathlon. If there are 9 competitors in the triathlon and medals are

awarded for first, second, and third place, what is the probability that at least two of the triplets will win a


(A) 3/14 (B) 19/84 (C) 11/42 (D) 15/28 (E) .

Can some one please help ?

the answer is quite simple...19/84(option b)

it says atleast 2 ppl out of 3 (so it can be either a,b or b,c or c,a or a,b,c can win the medals) it will be like  (3c2 *6c1 +3c3)/9c3...on solving u'll get ur answer as option b.
