hi gaurav,

u have picked the answer correctly,

but i have a doubt for sentence c.

more over my logic is:

option b is incorrect as article 'a' is missing.

also option c doesnot have comma after rapid rate.

(when read at one go rapid rate many ...doesnot sounds good...)

please correct me if i am wrong...

  hi all,

indeed option d is right as in statament b the word MILLION should be followed by A.

  also in c) shouldn't it be :
" .. the population continues..., many.."
there should be a comma and an inclusion of 'the' before population?

  Hi,
there is an error in sentence B, as it should be "a million years".
this rules out option A and C.
with the remaining options we need to check only sentence A.
if we consider that 'when' should start with a capital ' W' (which could be a typing error), then option D is correct. otherwise, option B is the answer.
