Dear Dagny,

I have some doubts here.

Q 5.) What is the difference between choice A and C? I went for C and A is the right answer.

Q 7.) What is the difference between choice C and D? I went for C and D turned out to be the correct answer.

Q 8.) If you could please through some light on this one it would be great.

Hello Mandy,

Q5. A stands out as the correct answer for following reasons:

  a. comma is desired before 'which'.

  b. 'freedom to him' means the freedom only to him where as the author intends to say that to him Africa symbolized as a place of freedom.

-----

Q7. is a idiomatic error - no one claims the ability, it is claim to be able.

Thanks,

Manu
