by Bishweshwar Pradhan - Thursday, 12 November 2009, 02:27 PM
It's surprising that there is so much agreement between two such different people.
  1. such different people
  2. so different people
  3. people of such difference
  4. people who are such different
  5. such people who are different

Like Byron at Missolonghi, Jack London was slowly killed by the mistakes of the medical men who treated him.

  1. Like Byron
  2. Like Byron's death
  3. Just as Byron died
  4. Similar to Byron
  5. As did Byron

  Q1. Option 2 is correct.

'such different people' is not the proper usage, it should be 'so different people'. Other options are wordy and redundant.

Q2. Option 1 is correct.

'Byron' is correctly compared with 'Jack'.
